FoLP litter pick - June 27th

On a scorching hot day and with England's 3 'o' clock kick off looming on the horizon, 25+ hardy souls met at the main gates of Leyland Park to embark on our summer litter pick. It is fair to say massive improvements have been made by WLCT as regards to cleanliness in the grounds. We did however, manage to collect 15 bags of litter from the bushes and the undergrowth around the park! It was nice to see some new faces and there was some positive feedback to take on board. We now look forward to our Picnic in the Park day on the 15th August where the Rivington and Adlington will grace the bandstand.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us today. a fuul report will follow. Its a shame we were hindered on turn out by the football, especially after the result!!

Sundays litter pick!!!

A reminder to everyone that this Sunday the 27th June is our summer litter pick. Unfortunately the England boys can only manage one goal a game and will face the old enemy on the same day but i am sure we will be done in time to see our boys progrees to face Argentina! Meet at the main gates at 1.00pm and lets see if we can get som elitter cleared.

Wednesday night was a very successful and enthusiastic committe meeting with several ideas being put forward for our August the 15th fun day. watch this space for more information.
